Registration for the Technical
Exchange Meeting was CLOSED as of 12:00 p.m. April
12, 2006.
In order to maintain
focus and permit substantive dialog, participation from invited
organizations will be limited to TWO (2) representatives.
Organizations are asked to select representatives based on their
ability to contribute to dialogue in the breakout session areas
listed below.

The Meeting includes a
series of breakout sessions held during the event. There will be
two groups holding simultaneous breakout sessions on each day. Each
group will be assigned a topic to discuss with the intent of developing
potential options for the resolution of issues within that topic.
The first day of sessions will focus on technical objectives and
procurement strategies, and the second day of sessions will focus
on program execution. Specific group topics will be:
Day 1 - Technology
Breakout Sessions
Group A: Technology Improvement
Opportunities (Technical Objectives for Procurement)
Group B: Procurement Strategy
and Structure (Phasing, Teaming, Funding)
Day 2 - Program
Execution Breakout Sessions
Group C: Stage-Gate Process,
Testing, & Evaluation
Group D: Proposal Content Requirements, Merit Review Criteria, and
Negotiation Processes
**These groups are subject to change.
Every effort will be made to accommodate your requested breakout
group preference.
The size of breakout groups
will be controlled by the Department of Energy Solar Energy Technology
Program. However, every effort will be made to place participants
in the group they most prefer as long as group size permits.
It
is our expectation that participants will come having read and provided
feedback to the Department's Notice of Program Interest (NOPI),

, with instructions on how to respond to the focus areas contained
therein. The NOPI focus areas also provide more detail about the
topics of the breakout groups listed above.
