The EG&G Division of URS (previously known as United Research Services) is a leading provider of management and technical services to the U.S. government. With a staff of more than 12,300 employees, EG&G provides program management, systems engineering and technical assistance, and operations and maintenance services to a variety of federal agencies, primarily the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). EG&G expertise in Engineering and Technology Services and Installations Management provides specific value to the Sentech Team.
Engineering and Technology Services
EG&G supports DOD and other federal agencies through use of integrated systems engineering, operations and maintenance, and repair/upgrade capabilities. This support involves studies and analysis, technology insertion, systems modification, installation of new systems and equipment, the design and manufacture of critical parts, and integrated logistics support. EG&G also provides electronics omnibus support, engineering and technical support at many of the nation's defense systems research laboratories. EG&G services include quality assurance, engineering analysis and studies, design, production and field engineering, test and evaluation, integrated logistics support and configuration, and program and technical data management.
Installations Management
EG&G provides comprehensive services for the operation and management of complex government installations, and military bases, and is one of the largest technical range support contractors in the U.S. Their experience includes all areas of operations and maintenance activity, including oversight of all construction, testing and operation of base systems and processes, support of high security environments, construction management for facilities design and renovation programs, and base redevelopment.
